Updated data for the infobox

[edit]

Hi everyone, I noticed that this entry contains outdated data that I would like to update. As you can see on my personal profile, I work for Swiss Life. I am aware of the importance of editing with a neutral point of view as well as the rules and customs of Wikipedia and therefore I will be submitting in the Swiss Life's talk page all my proposals for you to evaluate.

Below is the updated data for the infobox. To back up this information, I included the Swiss Life annual report (the most reliable source in this case) available here: http://www.swisslife.com/content/dam/com/fullyear/fy2012/annualreport_fy2012.pdf

  • Revenue: CHF 17.05 billion
  • Operating income: CHF 346 million
  • Profit: CHF 93 million
  • AUM: CHF161.74 billion
  • Total assets: CHF 163.4: billion
  • Total equity: CHF 10.253 billion
  • Employees: 7 046

Finally, as I am new on Wikipedia, I was wondering if I could handle by myself objective data without asking for an opinion (such as financial data listed above). Any advice would be welcome.

Updated information (financial data and corporate governance)

[edit]

Hello everybody,

I would like to suggest new information for this entry, which include the sources I collected to support it. You will find these below. In particular, I was thinking about a list of the Board of Director’s as well as of the corporate executive board’s members. Furthermore, I am including a list of the major shareholders and a list of financial information covering the last 4 years (to update when 2013 figures will be released). I would divide this content into 3 sections: “Corporate Governance” (for Board of Directors and Corporate Executive Board), “Major Shareholders” (for the list of shareholders) and “Financial Information”. To introduce every section, I added a few lines. Moreover, the following information could be put into four charts, with related sources (below in brackets) and explanations. Any advice will be more than welcome, so please, don’t hesitate to leave your comments here.

Thank you in advance

Reply: None of this content shows any bias or opinion, the data is all factual and you have adequately declared your potential for a conflict of interest, which is not affecting this content. In my opinion it is safe for you to add this content to the article yourself as long as this is the only content added. Policy does not say you cannot edit, it only says you must be careful, and you have accomplished that. —    Bill W.    (Talk)  (Contrib)  — 13:02, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

New updates to the entry

[edit]

Hello,

I would like to suggest some new content to the entry.

First of all, the asset under management value in the head could be updated with the 2012 one: CFH 162 billion.

Then, I have translated a passage (find below) about the origins of the company from the German entry, keeping the same source, which is a book in German language.

"The first registered office of Rentenanstalt was in the Tiefenhoefe buildings on the Paradeplatz in Zurich. Rapid expansion saw the offices moving in quick succession from the Gruene Schloss on Zwingliplatz, to the Chamhaus on the Untere Zaune and finally to the Alpenquai, where the new head office was opened in 1898. Although this building was spacious for its time, further expansion in the interwar period necessitated yet another move. During 1937–¬1939 a modern building designed by the Pfister firm of architects was constructed close to the old head office. It is this building, extended during 1961–1963 and later, that houses today’s company head office in Zurich.[1]"

Finally, I would update the Sponsorship section:

"Swiss Life is a sponsor of the Swiss National Football Team, the Jazz Classics” and Jazz Recitals, of the All Blues Konzert AG[2] and the Jungfrau Music Festival[3] . Additionally, Swiss Life is a partner of Solothurner Filmtage[4]."

Thank you in advance for your help, any advice is welcome. --Fabienne Strobel (talk) 10:27, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
